I am excited to see the wild ride that Art of Dying's musical career is headed! I have a feeling their impact on the rock world is going to be around for years to come. Check out their live performance and you'll see what I mean. I shot Art of Dying on the Jager Stage at Rock on the Range, and I see why there is such a buzz throughout the industry about them. If you haven't seen the performance yet make sure you grab tickets to the Uproar Tour and see why this band belongs in the insane world of Rock and Roll!

I shot Trapt at Rock on the Range on the F.Y.E. Stage. Their live show is incredible! They have this presence that defines them as a rock band and a sound that could move a generation. They don't put out singles, they put out anthems that make you want to take your life to the next level! For those of you in West Hollywood, make sure to check out the live performance at The Roxy on July 16th!
One of my favorite songs not just by them but by anyone is their song Sound Off from their latest album 'No Apologies'! I was stoked to catch that song live, plus seeing the whole crowd singing along...

If someone would of told me that I would be shooting the New York Dolls live in concert when I first picked up the LENS I would of laughed and said, "Ya right!, I wish, but I don't see that ever happening!"
Not only did I get to shoot the New York Dolls live in concert, but my daughter (Pamalatera) was able to see them perform live with me on father's day! If that wasn't enough, she loved the New York Dolls live!
I shoot them in Black and White because it just felt right. One of my favorite photog's, Bob Gruen, has taken some amazing pics of the Dolls and put out a couple of books with them...

NOTHIN BUT A GOOD TIME! is what Poison had performing at USANA Amphitheater in Salt Lake City, UT. The first time I seen Poison live was when they opened for David Lee Roth.
(Which was the first time I seen Steve Vai live! Insane guitarist)
The difference between that show and this one is a little less hair and make-up, a bigger range in age group of fans, but the show now still has the same energy as the show then. It's been a 25 year party for the guys in Poison and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. Look for them on tour this summer with Mötley Crüe and the New York Dolls.

This was hands down the best Fathers Day ever!!!
I shot Mötley Crüe not only for the 'on the road....... Where MUSIC Lives' project, but for radio stations KBER and KHTB as well on Father's Day at USANA Amphitheater in West Valley City, UT.
CHECK OUT PICS HERE
When setting up my pass I made it clear that the only way I could shoot Crüe on Father's Day would be if my rugrat (aka Pamalatera, aka the whole reason for the 'on the road....... Where MUSIC Lives' project) could go with me. Not only, did Mötley Crüe's people make sure that she could go with me, but got us seats to watch the show...

Last year's Sunset Strip Music Festival was incredible in every way for a music fan! Great bands and a great vibe throughout Sunset Strip. Pictured above is 2010 Honorary Slash that I snapped on the outdoor stage during his performance. I have attended a lot of festivals through out the country and as a fan this one is my favorite! It just has a music vibe like no other, and this year looks like it will be no different! Do yourself a favor this year and check out the insanity known as the Sunset Strip Music Festival. -Rob

Seether's first single 'Cowboy Song' can be heard every time you turn on a radio! Unlike some songs that people complain about being over played, this one has no complaints because it's that damn good!
I shot Seether at Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, FL and couldn't believe the crowd reaction to their live performance. Everyone was singing along to every song they played. Last week I was talking with 'on the road....... Where MUSIC Lives team member Jessica Hall, after she seen Seether perform, and she said the same thing. The whole crowd was singing along to every song.
This is a great...

I dig when musicians give back to the community and involve the fans! A big HELLYEAH to Mark Morton for doing this! \m/
LAMB OF GOD guitarist Mark Morton is pleased to announce that he will be auctioning one of his stage guitars used at the upcoming D-Tox Fest in Montebello, Quebec for charity. All proceeds from the auction will go to Victory Junction, a camp for chronically ill children in Randleman, NC. The guitar, a Mark Morton Signature model Jackson Dominion from Mark's personal collection, will be autographed and will come with photographs from the performance and a personal letter...

For those of you who thought Aaron Lewis wouldn't be able to bring the anger that flows through Stiand's live show due to his release of a country album, then buy a ticket and get bitch slap with the rest of the crowd seeing the show! (for the record... I dig his country album, and excited to see where it takes him)
I updated everyone on a post earlier from the road about hanging out with Aaron Lewis at ROTR which was insanely surreal! Here is a recap of the post......
"Through all of it, I’d have to say one of the highlights for me, other than being in the same place as Myles Kennedy on Saturday,...

In my opinion, Myles Kennedy is the most talented front man I have ever seen perform live. Like I said, IN MY OPINION, but if you disagree, then I'm sure it is for one of two reasons: A. You have never seen him perform live, or B. You're a dumbass! Again, just my opinion.
The first time I saw Myles Kennedy perform live was at the Sunset Strip Music Festival (SSMF 2010) in West Hollywood, CA with Slash, and what a performance it was. Since then, every chance I have had to see him perform I've made sure to be there whether it's with Slash or Alter Bridge. And in less than a year I have seen Myles...
